Kanata-Stittsville Primary Care Expansion Working Group Update: The working group held its first meeting on June 17th, bringing together 18 participants from primary care practices and partner organizations across Kanata-Stittsville. The discussion focused on lessons learned from previous primary care expansion proposals and opportunities to develop a coordinated, community-supported proposal in anticipation of the next provincial funding round, expected this fall. Further meetings will take place over the summer, with consideration being given to incorporate lived experience perspectives into the group’s work. The taskforce guidelines have been reshared for quick reference.

Performance Evaluation and Quality (PEQ) Committee Update: The PEQ committee leads will be meeting in late July to support planning to reconvene the PEQ Committee. They plan to review current priorities, reporting processes and next steps to support the committee’s work moving forward.

New: COMING THIS FALL: Taking Charge of Your Health — a free 3-part webinar series focused on healthcare advocacy, becoming an engaged partner in your care, and navigating the healthcare system.
